In 2023, there was a total of 782.1 thousand registered cases of migration with irregularities in Mexico. The state with the highest number of this type of migration amounted to approximately 292.4 thousand cases in Tabasco. In the contrast, Tamaulipas registered approximately 10.81 thousand cases. In that same year, more than 126 thousand migrants were issued a Visitor Cards for Humanitarian Reasons (TVRH) by the Mexican authorities.
